A power struggle unfolds on chimp island as young pretender Carlos challenges dominant male Dylan. When Asian short-clawed otter Wallace is struck down by a mystery illness, the vets find a large pebble in his stomach. Has his stone-juggling habit got the better of him? Wilma the wattled crane gets a new partner, Ivan. Their first date goes well but the romantic mood is spoilt when their noisy neighbours, the great crowned cranes, start crowing. Ivan is going to have to man up and show the neighbours who's boss to impress Wilma. Bush dog Franco's pack has stopped growing. His most recent litter died, and keepers hope that moving one of the breeding females to another zoo might solve the problem. When Mana, the remaining female, becomes pregnant, everyone hopes that these pups will survive.
